Men’s Beit Midrash

Based on Reb Shlomo’s vision of ‘Torah from the heart’ we joyfully offer Simchat Shlomo’s Men’s Beit Midrash. Our goal is to provide relevant, joyous and profound learning for students seeking to build a solid foundation in Jewish literacy and spiritual growth.

Our Men’s Beit Midrash meets daily with R’ Yona Rothman, a Talmudic scholar of extremely fine character. He inspires our students and leads them to new depths and heights in Torah learning.

We are proud to announce that Reb Shlomo Katz and Reb Eliyahu Haber are joining our staff. We welcome them with open arms and hearts and bless them and their students with much success, b’ezrat Hashem.

The Men’s Beit Midrash meets Sunday-Thursday, 9:30am-1:15 pm and is staffed by Rabbis Yona Rothman, Shlomo Katz, Sholom Brodt and Eliyahu Haber.

Courses include Talmud (Mishna and Gemara), Halacha and Chassidut. Course descriptions

Designed around the cycle of the Jewish year, the integrated learning program provides students with both a solid foundation in Torah learning while opening the mind to the depths of Chassidic teachings. The combination of acquiring fundamental textual skills along with the depths of Chassidic understanding challenges students to turn the subject matter and practice into a spiritually dynamic model of Jewish life, learning and practice.

Regardless of your previous background Simchat Shlomo is able to provide students of widely varying experience with insight and knowledge of great depth. Whether you have little or no background in formal yeshiva learning, whether your conversational Hebrew skills are great but your Aramaic needs work, or whether you’ve never looked at a page of Talmud before, but you want to grow and develop as an individual and as a member of the Jewish community, the Men’s Beit Midrash is the perfect place to nurture and develop your learning.

Daily 9:30am-1:00pm, contact us at shulim@shlomoyeshiva.org or on 02 622 1456 for more info.

Tuition costs for the program are $350/month. Some partial scholarships and work-study arrangements are available upon application and inquiry.
